October 24, 2001-
I am very sorry for the lack of updates, I have had some midterms bogging me down, but those are done, and the light at the end of the tunnel is rushing toward me. In fencing news, there have been several tournaments within the last month. Most recently, USMPA hosted the Ken Hogan Memorial Open. I have contacted Oscar Barrera to try and see if they were going to award ranking in the manner of a Group I tournament. I am still awaiting confirmation, I will let you know as soon as I know myself (a D '01 is hanging in the balance for me!). The site is still going strong, thanks to all of you who visit on a regular basis. Check back soon for results.

I just got an e-mail today from Ray Parker informing me of TFA's first tourney of the season this Sunday. If you want to go, need info, or just want to see what's going on, head to the spotlighted tournaments section. Thanks!

I have updated the schedule more today, so hopefully that will be of some use to you all. Don't forget about the EPEE CUP coming up on October 1! I also wish to bring something more serious to your attention. If you would like to help the disaster efforts in Manhattan, you have several options.
1. Donate blood.
2. + Donate to the American Red Cross by clicking here to go to their site, or by calling 1-800-HELP-NOW.
3. Pray for all the families affected by this horrible tragedy.

Just some small news; USMPA will resume its Epee Cup Series of tournaments beginning on October 1. Every first Monday of each month will be the set day for these tournaments. USFA membership is required, USFA rules are applicable, and I believe the fee is 2 bucks. More info as I get it...

Hope everyone made it through yesterday ok, and if you have family in NY, that you got to talk to them.
As far as the site goes, the Schedule has been updated, but it's not quite complete. I'll get that soon. The Spotlighted Tournament section will be updated just as soon as I see a flyer with info. If you have one, and want it posted, e-mail it to me. For now, ciao!

What a day to return on...the enormity of the terrorist strike on the World Trade Center has yet to take root in my mind. To make matters worse, my father is in Manhatten as we speak, on a business trip, and he is currently under the mandatory lockdown. Besides all that, the new fencing season is upon us, and I will try my best to keep this page updated once more. Massive updates are on the way!

On a post script, I just want to thank the companies that make this site possible, without FortuneCity or Trellix Web, South Texas Fencing wouldn't be here serving your needs. Thanks for all your hard work, and keeping it free, guys!

May 2, 2001-
In it's first week, SouthTexasFencing.cjb.net has undergone some big changes. Most noticably is the lack of pictures. Since we are no longer affiliated with USMPA, I though it would be in the best interest of everyone to take the pics down. However, if you have pictures of yourself or others, e-mail them to me, and I will be happy to post them. Also, I got the links working again, if your club is not represented, e-mail me and let me know. Enjoy!

The links page is going to be down for a while, so please bear with us. Also, as you can see, our address has changed to www.southtexasfencing.cjb.net. Please Bookmark the above name, we are no longer affiliated with USMPA. Thank you so much for your continued support.
